It’s time to announce the fourth winner in the Wedding Photographer of the Year competition.
Round four was all about the bride, we were looking for the most creative and beautiful bridal portrait out there and the entries did not disappoint! After a long judging process, we can now announce the winner.
And the winner is…
Derbyshire-based wedding photographer Ben Appleby has won this fourth round with this dramatic yet fun bridal shot.
The judges loved this image, Kevin Pengelly said ‘it has good use of lighting to create a really atmospheric image of the bride.’
Adam Johnson said ‘I love the fashion edge to the image and how it feels like more than a wedding photo. I also really like the quality of the edit and especially the skin tone.’
Ben was thrilled to have won this round: “To have won this round of the competition is insane. I love to shoot bridal portraits, so winning this means a lot to me. There are so many amazing photographers out there with some seriously mad skills, so I genuinely feel humbled to have been selected for this image!”
What has Ben won?
Ben has won a 14×10″ 30-page Bellissimo album of his choice and he’s now in the running for overall Wedding Photographer of the Year 2019!
The next winner to be announced will be for round five, the group shot round! Keep an eye on the Loxley Colour blog to discover which talented photographer has won.
