This year, we are launching a brand new competition for Loxley Colour customers to find the very best photographers from a range of genres and fields. We want to find our Class of 2020 Photographer of the Year, so we’re running five rounds in this competition covering everything from weddings to landscapes. The winners from each round will be in with the chance of winning the overall prize at the end of the year. With some fantastic prizes up for grabs, this new competition is a great opportunity for you to showcase your best image.
What is the competition?
Throughout the year, there will be five rounds covering a range of photography genres. For a chance to win you just have to submit your very best image that suits the round’s theme. You can enter more than one round, but you can only submit one image per round and they must match our categories.

Don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated on when these rounds begin and when you have to submit your image by. We want this to be a competition that lets you show off your creativity, no matter what genre of photography you specialise in. We’re also hoping to encourage the next generation of photographers with our student round.
Every winner of each round in this competition will be up for the overall prize at the end of the year, where they will win £1,000 Loxley lab credit! All winners and judges are invited to come to Scotland for an awards dinner, plus a tour of the Loxley Colour lab. This is where we will announce the overall winner of this competition for 2020!

We’ve got some of the top photographers from across the industry to judge each round of this new competition. We’ll let you know more about who these photographers are in another blog soon!
The judges will decide who wins each round of this competition, choosing from our shortlist of entries. This means you’ll have the chance to have your images judged and commented on by leading influential photographers from the UK and beyond!
